W1601 Positive Communication Skills
Includes dealing with people you find difficult, negotiation skills and dealing with conflict. Our programmes promote effective listening, responding and questioning. We look at how to avoid blaming behaviour and how to give and take praise and constructive criticism.
W1602 Management of Conflict in the Workplace
Dealing with conflict at work can be costly and time consuming; impacting on productivity and on staff wellbeing. We look at the causes of conflict in the workplace, responses to conflict and methods of conflict resolution.
W1603 Stress Management and Healthy Work/Life Balance
We assess the potential and actual causes of stress in the workplace and assist in the development of an action plan to minimise work-related stress. We explore how organisations, teams, and individuals are jointly responsible for developing a healthy work/life balance and look at strategies to achieve this.
W1604 Managing Challenging Behaviour
We provide training and consultancy for staff in public sector Children and Adult front line teams and carers in homes and centres in dealing with challenging behaviour – including positive behaviour management strategies; preventative planning and calming skills plus safe touch; holding and restraint; rights of self defence and safe breakaway skills.
