Launch of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards v5 E-Learning

Thursday, June 25th, 2015

We are delighted to announce that we have updated our Deprivation of Liberty E-Learning programme to reflect the Care Act 2014 and to contribute to the Care Certificate Standards. Our Deprivation of Liberty v5 E-Learning programme is the latest addition to our other popular Adult Services and Healthcare E-Learning Courses.

Deprivation of Liberty v5 E-Learning is designed to help Managers, Professionals and Care Staff across Health and Social Care in a number of ways. This includes helping them to understand and consider the background to DoLS and what they do; the difference between ‘deprivation’ and ‘restriction’ of liberty; how these might apply to a particular patient and resident; whether to change care plans and practice to provide care and treatment in a less restrictive way and the process of referral, assessment and review if DoLS is needed.

This course contributes to the Care Certificate Standards 3,6,9 and 14.

Through our use of clear content, careful animation, social care and healthcare interviews, quizzes, further information and reflective thinking and action plans, we can help all your multi-agency staff understand their legal obligations to vulnerable adults in their care and improve their practice.

Kwango Mental Capacity Act v6 E-Learning

We are delighted to announce that we have updated our Mental Capacity Act E-Learning programme to reflect the Care Act 2014 and to contribute to the Care Certificate Standards. Our Mental Capacity Act v6 E-Learning programme is the latest addition to our other popular Adult Services and Healthcare E-Learning Courses.

Mental Capacity Act E-Learning v6 aims to provide Professional and Care Staff with key information about the Act and describes the changes that have occurred as a result of it. This includes clear guidance about what to do to help someone make their own decisions, how to work out if someone can make their own decisions and what to do if someone cannot make a decision.

This course contributes to the Care Certificate Standards 3,6,9 and 14.

Through our use of clear content, careful animation, social care and healthcare interviews, quizzes, further information and guided learning, we can help all your multi-agency staff protect the rights of vulnerable people who may lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves.
