In an article in the Guardian this week, the National Autistic Society’s recent survey revealed that too many people with autism are being failed by the adult social care system.
According to the survey only 23% of the respondents believe that Social Workers have a proper understanding of autism and 46% of authorities still do not have a system in place to embed an understanding of autism across Health and Social Care.
