Working with Parents E-Learning

Thursday, November 29th, 2012

Kwango is pleased to announce the launch of its Working with Parents E-Learning course. It is the latest addition to our other popular Children’s Services E-Learning Courses.

Research shows that a positive parenting style has a strong positive impact on children. As stated in the ‘Every Child Matters’ strategy:

‘Parents and the home environment they create are the single most important factor in shaping children’s well-being, achievements and prospects’

Our Working with Parents E-Learning course is designed to help practitioners working with Parents in a number of ways. These include understanding the importance of creating good working relationships with Parents; developing knowledge of positive parenting and parenting skills; relating to Parents and establishing good working relationships with them; planning their work; reflecting on how to prevent and manage barriers to good working relationships with Parents and ensuring that they look after themselves and seek good support.

It is suitable for new staff and for staff seeking to refresh their knowledge and skills.

Our high quality course contains interviews and quizzes to further engage learners. As with all our courses, it can be customised for each individual organisation and allows electronic tracking of user and usage. It can also be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week which gives learners both the advantage and flexibility of completing the course at their own pace and to suit their work schedule.
