Kwango is pleased to announce the launch of its Food Safety, Infection Control, Nutrition and Hydration E-Learning course. It is the latest addition to our other popular Adult Services and Health Care E-Learning Courses.

Many people in need of services at home are supported by family, friends, Domiciliary Care Workers, Personal Assistants, Health Care Assistants or Nursing Auxiliaries.

Our Food Safety, Infection Control, Nutrition and Hydration E-Learning Course is designed to help these Carers deliver high quality care to maintain the health, safety and wellbeing of those they support in their own home or other care setting.

Good food safety, infection prevention and control must be part of everyday practice to ensure that the people being supported receive safe and effective care. Carers also need to be aware of ways to promote adequate nutrition and hydration to maintain the wellbeing of those being supported.

Food Safety, Infection Control, Nutrition and Hydration e-learning is designed to help in a number of ways. These include providing Carers with an understanding of the key elements of health and hygiene in the provision of personalised care; encouraging a balance between an individual’s right to choose and the application of best practice; helping them to understand their responsibilities and boundaries and promoting health, safety and wellbeing through a Person Centred Approach.

Our high quality course contains interviews and quizzes to further engage learners. As with all our courses, it can be customised for each individual organisation and allows electronic tracking of user and usage. It can also be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week which gives learners both the advantage and flexibility of completing the course at their own pace and to suit their work schedule.
