Kwango is pleased to announce the launch of its Carers Awareness E-Learning course. It is the latest addition to our other popular Adult Services, Children’s Services and Health Care E-Learning Courses.
In line with the Government’s commitment to improving carers’ experience of services and the Skills for Care Common Core Principles for Working with Carers, our course provides knowledge, skills and strategies for carers, people who receive care and professional workers.
It aims to increase understanding of each person’s perspective, rights and responsibilities. This will promote genuine partnership working and the best outcomes for some of society’s most vulnerable people.
Carers Awareness e-learning is designed to help practitioners in Health, Social Care and other Statutory Agencies and the Private, Voluntary and Independent Sectors in a number of ways. These include understanding who a carer is, the position of carers in law and their rights; the importance of the ‘Support Triangle’; ‘Common Core Principles’ for working with carers, including young carers; key messages from carers, research and carers’ organisations; the diversity of carers and their needs and support networks at local and national level.
Our high quality course contains interviews and quizzes to further engage learners. As with all our courses, it can be customised for each individual organisation and allows electronic tracking of user and usage. It can also be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week which gives learners both the advantage and flexibility of completing the course at their own pace and to suit their work schedule.
