Hidden Harm refers to the serious impact of a parent or carer’s problem drug and alcohol use on their children’s health and well-being. It has been developed in relation to the government’s emphasis in 2011/12 on children being helped to achieve more.
Our Hidden Harm E-Learning course is an awareness level programme designed to help practitioners in Children’s and Adult Services, Health, Education and the private, voluntary and independent sectors in a number of ways. These include understanding the impact of parent’s problem drug and alcohol use on children; the needs of the children of problem drug users; the range of service provision for children of problem drug users and the importance of integrated working for problem drug-using parents and their families.
Our high quality course contains interactive interviews with parents with problem drug and alcohol use plus quizzes to further engage learners. As with all our courses, it can be customised for each individual organisation and can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
